Classics: In my collection, I define a classic paddle as having that definitive design that we all remember from our
youth. Whether it makes you shudder in fear or with desire, these are the shapes that never fail to get a reaction.
The Board of Education—also known as a B.O.E. - This is the basic Fraternity Paddle. It’s also the paddle style
that I recall my elementary school Principals wielding with much vigor. I make these in many sizes and with a
beautiful selection of both Exotic and Domestic Hardwoods. Thick or thin, these traditional Corporal Punishment
pieces are assured of delivering impact—both physically and mentally. This paddle is generally 12 to 20 inches long,
2.5 to 4 inches wide and, depending on the wood, runs $20.00 - $36.00.

The Classic Paddle - Who can go wrong with this style? Teachers wielded them in menace…Gym teachers
threatened us with them…Even the adorable babysitter we all secretly lusted after would grab one from our parent’s
ping-pong table in an attempt to “make you listen”. This shape is another example of a classic Corporal Punishment
devise. My Classic Paddles typically measure 6 x 14 inches, and depending on your wood choice range in price from

Tressa - This is the name that I have applied to my interpretation of the iconic Hairbrush-style paddle. Whether
round or square, the impact is the same. Naughty boys and girls get smacked with the hairbrush. Tressa paddles
range in size from 3 to 4 inches in width, and 10 to 12 inches in length. They can be made square or round, with or
without holes. Prices, depending on wood and size, range in price between $24.00 to $45.00.

Pervertables or Domestic Discipline designs - Many a mother has grabbed for the good ol’
wooden spoon or spatula in desperation. These are probably my personal favorites for Over The Knee (OTK)
discipline…absolute must-haves for any toybag or household spanking or paddling scene.
The Whacking Spoon - shapely and sleek, this design is great for both OTK and standing scenarios. It has a lovely
rounded head and a comfortable handle. This piece is small enough to work over single cheeks, inner thighs, and is
particularly effective on breasts. It’s handle is long enough to give nice reach for standing or roped “victims”. A
satisfied buyer told me recently that this one makes her bottom look like a “happy Face”. Imagine my own evil grin
at that remark. Whacking spoons average $20.00 to $22.00, depending on the wood and measure 3" x 12".
Butt’r - This is my variation on the good old kitchen spatula. I call this the Butt’r as it reminds me of a butter
spreader. It’s also great on…wait for it…..BUTTs. hehehe. These are usually about 10” in length and between 2”
and 4” in width. With holes or without, this style is versatile and intimate. Like my Whacking Spoon, it allows for
close-in or standing scenes. It’s smooth shape also slides up between clenched cheeks or round breasts --”lifting and
separating” as they say. Butt'r's measure aprox. 2.5 by 12 inches and start at $20.00.
Spreader - My slightly larger take on the traditional spatula shape. The spreader tends to be longer than its Butt’r
counterpart and consequently packs a bit more whollop. They are also a bit reminiscent of a Board or Education
and, like all of my pieces, made to order from any number of stunning woods and start at $24.00.
Whacking Stick - Evoking visions or schoolhouse rulers, pointers, yardsticks and canes. The Compassrose
Creations Whacking stick is an excruciatingly beautiful implement of Pain and Corporal Punishment. Typically ranging
in length from 12 to 22 inches, these are only made from the strongest, hardest and finest-grained woods in my
collection. Bloodwood, Cocobollo, Purpleheart and Bokote are some of the ideal woods for this style. They can be
cut thin for flex and sting, yet are still strong enough to stand up to hard use. This is a great cross-over piece as it
carries some of the same characteristics of a Cane. My own Bloodwood whacking stick is the very first piece I ever
made for myself. It’s my favorite tool, and, it has stood up to over a decade of use. My Whacking Sticks never fail
to bring a glint to the eye…and a little shudder from both the top and the bottom. They range in size from 12" to
22" and price from $20.00 to $42.00
PoPPs - Compassrose’s own Purse or Pocket Paddle. These little beauties may be small, but they are mighty.
Designed to travel discretely in a purse, tote or pocket, every collection should have at least one. When
participating in a paddling session or scene, these can easily be tucked into a pocket, waistband, side of a bra or even
in the cleavage, to allow for handy and speedy access. These little multi-taskers are super for CBT as well, and the
small size allows for maximum maneuverability. PoPPs are sized to make the most of the wood .. I often feel whimsical
while making them, and each is truly unique. Most are about $22.00.
